Fourfold Collaboration

We're honored to collaborate with the design duo Yaffe Mays on The Fourfold Collection: a line of furniture for the home or office.

Yaffe Mays is the woodworking partnership of Rebecca Yaffe and Laura Mays, based in Fort Bragg, California.  Laura is an internationally recognized furniture designer,  master woodworker and teacher.  She has advanced degrees and has taught furniture and industrial design in California and her native Ireland.  We're honored to build furniture from the drawing board of one of Northern California's pre-eminent creators.

The range is produced in small batches and shows our local wood to advantage.

The Fourfold Chair

The Fourfold Chair

"The first piece we worked on was the dining chair," says Laura.  "A chair seemed to us to be one of the most expressive forms, and thus could set the 'look' for further pieces. The dining chair is elegant. Throughout, tapers and facets are used to articulate and refine the form."

Design, design, design, and then design some more!
